How I work
I help people in culture and hospitality organise their work and build the digital tools they need.
Operations strategy
I start with what you want to achieve and what is getting in the way. I look at priorities, responsibilities and how work passes between people, then work out what can change with the time and resources available. That might mean making a handover clearer, bringing scattered information together or removing a task that no longer serves a purpose. I make use of the tools already in place before adding another. This also shows where a new digital tool could help.
Design
I design the tool around the tasks people need to complete. That means working through what someone sees first, what they need to enter and how they get from one step to the next. The interface should make those tasks easier, with information where people expect to find it.
Development
I build and launch the tool myself, so the design carries through into the finished product. I keep the software straightforward to use and maintain. Once people are using it, I refine it with their feedback and adapt it as their work develops.
